3D Helicopter Model
Video of a 3D Helicopter Model:
This video and reading the comments has given me ideas about how to make the Helicopter. One of the comments on the video said to make the cabin windows transparent, so I will aim to do that on my version.

Chosen theme
My initial idea was to choose either option 1 or 2 which have a spider theme. I have decided against this and have settled upon option 4 which is the helicopter theme. I like that I could go into as much detail as I like or cut back on the detail and it still look good. Helicopters have a vast amount of intricate detail when combined would make a fantastic 3D model. The environment would be in an airport/landing pad zone with buildings around and possibly other vehicles such as cars, trucks and aviation vehicles. The scope of this theme could be a big or small as I would like it to be and I will let my time limitations govern the amount of detail and objects in the final piece.

Initial Ideas
In term one I am required to design a 3D-based environment. Below are some of my initial ideas:
1. Spider (Araneidae) - In a Web situated in a garden.
2. Tarantula (Theraphosidae) - Defensive position in a rain forest.
3. Coral Reef - Fish, Sharks, Coral and other sea life.
4. Helicopter - Helicopter landing on a pad with buildings in the background.
5. Person driving a F1 Car - Environment would be the F1 track with people in the background.

Brief
Project 1 (Term 1): "3D Digital Environments"
Working individually, you are required to set the problem and provide a solution. Projects are to be negotiated with your tutor through an initial project proposal. It is essential that the production work is informed by critical debate underway in seminars and individual surgeries. The proposal must include illustrations, diagrams, timelines, interface layouts, etc. This proposal will contribute an important component of the overall mark, as it will set out aims and objectives against which the project will be assessed. It should be professionally presented.
To realise the project you can use any available software and hardware, but the use of 3D Studio Max is strongly recommended. Assessment will focus on imaginative, creative and critical aspects of your project.
